Fun recipe to make. Homemade pastries made from chilled crescent dough.

1 can (8 ounce) Refrigerated Crescent Dough (eg Pillsbury®

8 Glasses water

3 tablespoons baking soda

1 small an egg

1 Tablespoon water

1 Tablespoon Butter melted

¼ small spoon Coarse salt

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and set aside.

Combine 8 cups of water and baking soda in a large saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Once it boils, reduce the heat and keep the water at a simmer.

Start at the large end and wrap each triangle of crescent roll into a large rope, about 12 inches long. Form a rope in the shape of a pretzel.

Using a spider strainer, lower them 1 piece at a time into boiling water for 7 to 8 seconds. Place the pastries on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Combine eggs and 1 tablespoon of water in a small bowl. Brush each piece of biscuit with the egg mixture.

Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 12 to 14 minutes.

Take it out of the oven. Brush each pretzel with melted butter and sprinkle with coarse salt while it is still hot.
